    Days 1-2: Hanoi

    Begin your Vietnam journey in the capital city. “Get to the Temple of Literature early – the morning light makes for amazing photos and it’s less crowded before 9am.” Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed Mondays/Fridays), the ethnology museum and Hoan Kiem Lake. Book a hotel in the Old Quarter so you can easily walk to street food spots and night markets.

    Days 3-4: Halong Bay

    Take the 3.5-hour drive from Hanoi to Halong Bay for an overnight cruise. “The Amazing Cave was truly spectacular, but bring good walking shoes – the cave floors can be slippery.” Book upper deck cabins during summer (June-August) for better air flow. Join the sunrise tai chi on deck before visiting floating fishing villages.

    Days 4-6: Hoi An

    Take a 90-minute flight from Hanoi to Danang, followed by a 45-minute transfer to Hoi An.     Days 8-10: Ho Chi Minh City & Mekong Delta

    Day 1:Ho Chi Minh City Arrival

    Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at your convenience. Your driver will meet you at arrivals for a simple hotel transfer. Use your first evening to rest and maybe walk around the Ben Thanh Market area.

    Days 2-3: Ho Chi Minh City & Surrounds

    Visit the historic Central Post Office and former Reunification Palace. Take an early trip to Cu Chi Tunnels (75km 1.5-hour drive) to avoid peak heat. One visitor noted: “The tunnels provide fascinating insight into wartime ingenuity.” On Day 3 travel to the Mekong Delta through My Tho (75km southeast). Visit local craft workshops and take a river cruise. Remember to pack mosquito repellent for the Delta waterways.

    Days 4-6: Hoi An Ancient Town

    Day 7: Hanoi Discovery

    Days 8-9: Halong Bay Cruise

    Day 10: Departure
